Includes FOUR activities for helping your students study the characters of Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan! Help students really study the characters, their traits, motivations, and points of view with these helpful graphic organizers. Challenges students to dive deeper into the story!

Includes FOUR different resources:

1. Character Traits chart, which helps students organize what they read about each character. Have students complete while they read, or just after reading Chapters 1-2. Students can also continue adding to the charts as they read the book, if you choose.
2. Character Motivation activity, supporting students in defining what each character wants, and why they do what they do to get what they want. Takes students through "character wants ___, so ___".
3. Character Inference activity gives students situations and quotes from the book in order to makes inferences about each character. Students practice inference in an easy-to-use format!
4. Point of View graphic organizer, leading students to make inference on how several characters - and the student themself - might feel, given the situation from the story.

An Answer Key is included for each activity. Also includes a recommendation on how to use each activity, and in what order.
